Electric Vehicles Hold the Key to Hitting Paris Agreement Emissions Target

Many initiatives are working to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases in Canada, like the carbon tax, reducing the number of coal plants and enforcing cleaner fuel measures. The result of the mentioned efforts still leaves Canadians 79 million tonnes shy of hitting their emissions target.

By 2030, Canada must reach their emissions target required by the Paris climate agreement. The Environment and Climate Change Canada officials have a goal to cut emissions by 200 million tonnes per year by 2030. Electric vehicles and updated mass transportation routes hold will help Canadian entities reach the 200 million tonnes goal.
